View Wine, Ballandean QLD

Our Estate grown wines are produced by Brad and Stacey.

We look forward to welcoming you soon to View Wine and the Granite Belt, Queensland’s Premium Wine Region

At View Wine our Cellar Door is open Friday and Saturday 11am - 5pm over the summer. Winter days are Wednesday to Saturday 11am - 4pm.

When in Ballandean, look for our new Big Red Shed.

We grow 6 different grape varieties which form the basis of all our wines. Depending on the vintage we may decide to make straight varietal wines or blends, it’s all about the best expression of the vineyard.

Sauvignon Blanc - Some of these grapes are always destined for our signature wine the Barrel Ferment Sauvignon Blanc. They sometimes are also used for an SSB or SBS!

Semillon - Often made as a pure Semillon in stainless steel tanks, that drink well young but have great aging potential. As well as being paired with Sauvignon Blanc to make the SSB or SBS.

Alvarinho (aka Albarino) - This is a new variety planted for the first time in Australia & at View Wine in 2015, this Portuguese/Spanish emerging variety is proving very popular each vintage.

Gros Manseng (big brother of Petit Manseng) - A little known emerging variety from the southwest of France, being versatile in style we have made a dessert wine and dry wine so far….. we might also experiment with a sparking version, maybe Pet Nat.

Merlot - An experiment in 2017 of making a Rose from Merlot proved very successful, so much so we have dedicated most of our grapes to a rose ever since. 2022 saw the first release of our Merlot as a red wine.

Shiraz - Our Shiraz block is nearly 35 years old and producing some amazing fruit and wine. The 2022 vintage was named in the Top 100 wines of Australia in 2024 by James Halliday.

Our Emerging Varieties are very popular and often sell out prior to our next release, please check back to our website shop for an indication of current wines available.

Come pop-in and enjoy a wine, bookings preferred using the below link especially for larger groups.

Look forward to meeting you soon,

Brad & Stacey Allan
